Known issues and troubleshooting
The following sections provide some answers and solutions to possible problems you may have. Please ensure that you are logged onto your computer with an administrator account that has full access to install and modify programs.
DigiStamp rotation
At the moment object rotation is not a feature that is available in Papercraft Factory. The best workaround is to print out card background on one sheet, and your stamp or sentiment on a separate sheet and then layer, position or mount them as required for your project.
Dreams Come True and/or Colour Me Happy DigiStamps have white infills. How to use a background paper with them in the new workspace?
The digistamps on our earlier Papercraft Factory CD-Roms weren't designed for use with a background paper in mind, so unfortunately some do have white infills. We've produced a software patch for each CD that will correct this as best we can, which have been released for free to download. You can download yours from the updates and utilities section above.
The installation of the Papercraft Factory Application failed with error code: 7
Sometimes if you interrupt or cancel the installation halfway through you'll see this error message when you try again. The best solution is to download and run the installation cleaner utility from the table above then try Installer 1 again. Or to do in manually try these steps...
Start Menu -> All Programs -> Papercraft Factory -> Uninstall Papercraft Factory
Click Uninstall.
Wait for it to finish and click Close.
Reboot your computer.
Start Menu -> Computer.
Navigate to C:\Program Files and if you see a folder called Funky Hand delete it and all it's contents being very careful not to delete anything else.
Now close down all running programs and put the installer into your CD tray.
The installer will AutoPlay, just click Next at each stage, and insert Installer 2 if asked.
HTTP request errors
HTTP request errors mean the application is unable to find it's image assets. Please check a file named either "editions.txt", "alleditions.txt" or "v3editions.txt" exists in your Papercraft Factory install folder. The default location for this is: "C:\Program Files\Funky Hand\Papercraft Factory\". This file should contain the following text: "C:\Program Files\Funky Hand\Editions". Again this is the default path. If this file doesn't exist or the path to the Editions folder is incorrect create or change the file to correct it.
Alternatively you could simply put the installer (or Installer 2 for Dreams Come True) back into your CD tray and copy the content to the "C:\Program Files\Funky Hand\Papercraft Factory\Editions" folder and say Yes to copy and replace contents of the edition folder (eg Colour Me Happy). This should add the missing files and complete your installation.
Missing Control Panel
Papercraft Factory requires a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels. If you're using 800x600 the Control Panel will be hidden off the botton of the screen.
